Houghton Village Hall Committee manages the village hall and village hall recreation field, on behalf of the parishioners, for the benefit of the parishioners. The village hall and village hall recreation field are held in trust for the benefit of the parishioners. The village hall and village hall recreation field are owned by the parishioners.
Houghton Parish Council gives an annual grant to Houghton Village Hall and, in addition, funds the grass cutting of the village hall recreation field.
The Parish Council annually appoints a Councillor as the Council’s representative to Houghton Village Hall.
For the duration of his/her appointment this Councillor becomes a trustee of Houghton Village Hall with one vote on the Houghton Village Hall Committee.

Houghton Field Association Committee manages the recreational field, on behalf of the parishioners, for the benefit of the parishioners.
The field is held in trust as a recreation ground for the benefit of the parishioners. The field is owned by the parishioners.
Houghton Parish Council gives an annual grant to Houghton Field Association and, in addition, funds the grass cutting of the recreational field.
The Parish Council annually appoints a Councillor as the Council’s representative to Houghton Field Association.
For the duration of his/her appointment this Councillor becomes a trustee of Houghton Field Association with one vote on the HFA Committee.
